Carly and Connor’s wedding at Water Works by Cescaphe in Philadelphia was the perfect mix of romance, energy, and timeless beauty. From a heartfelt love story that began in high school to a rainbow over the venue at sunset, their day was full of unforgettable moments.
The morning began in Center City, where Carly got ready at the Canopy Hotel with her bridesmaids. The suite was filled with energy- champagne was popped, music played, and the girls danced on the couches as the excitement built. Carly slipped into her gown surrounded by so much joy and love, the perfect start to the day. Meanwhile, Connor was with his groomsmen at the W Hotel Philadelphia. Their morning included skyline views from the high balcony, a stylish and relaxed start before the celebration.
Carly and Connor’s first look took place at the Rodin Museum, a location that we absolutely love. The historic architecture, stone columns, and gardens made for a stunning backdrop. The bridal party joined in for portraits, with bridesmaids dressed in shades of pink that added vibrance and style to the gallery.
From there, everyone made their way to Water Works by Cescaphe, an iconic Philadelphia wedding venue set along the Schuylkill River. We had time to capture even more portraits on the grounds before the ceremony began. The outdoor ceremony space was filled with emotion as Carly and Connor exchanged vows- including Connor’s extra meaningful detail. Years ago, while vacationing in Italy, he bought a postcard knowing he would one day write his wedding vows on it. Six years later, he finally did. How amazing is that?!
As the reception began, the sky delivered a moment that felt almost magical. Clouds shifted into shades of pink and purple, mirroring the day’s color palette, and a rainbow appeared over the venue just before Carly and Connor made their entrance. It was truly unforgettable.
The celebration continued in the open-air ballroom at Water Works, where guests were welcomed by over-the-top centerpieces, twinkling lights, countless candles, and vibrant pink florals. The atmosphere was romantic and elevated, the perfect setting for dinner, toasts, and a packed dance floor. Carly and Connor’s guests brought incredible energy, and the night was full of laughter, joy, and so much love. It was such an honor to capture this beautiful day for Carly and Connor!
