An Intimate Backyard Wedding In Cape May, NJ

Allison and Michael’s intimate backyard wedding was such a special day for us! Allison went to highschool with Magdalena Studios founder Magi Fisher, so when she reached out, we knew we needed to capture this day! Team photographer Kelee photographed the wedding, which took place at the couples’ family home in Cape May, NJ.

Unfortunately, Allison and Michael’s original wedding plans were affected by the pandemic, but they didn’t let that get them down. These two and their families got to work planning a beautiful intimate ceremony and reception so these two didn’t have to wait to tie the knot. Allison’s sweet mother did all the swags. Her life-long best friend and maid of honor did all the signage. Her now sister-in-law Kristen hosted the backyard wedding at her home in Cape May, NJ, and put together all of the backyard decor. Acoustic guitarist Carlos Morales teaches music at the school Mike teaches at.

It truly was a joint effort between this close-knit group of family & friends, but boy was it worth it! The backyard wedding ceremony was so sweet and you could feel all the love between Allison and Michael as they said their vows. After “I do’s,” they traveled to the nearby Cape May beach for some romantic couple’s portraits. The sunset was absolutely epic! We are so honored to have captured this sweet couple and we wish them all the best!
