A Timeless and Chic Mallard Island Yacht Club Wedding

As Seen On Mod Wedding

This Mallard Island Yacht Club wedding is truly one for the books! The ivory bridesmaid dresses and neutral florals looked stunning against the marble backdrops of this waterfront wedding venue. Mallard Island is one of our favorite New Jersey Shore wedding venues; it’s the perfect pick for brides planning their LBI wedding!

Vanessa and Steve met while working in Atlantic City, NJ. Their proposal took place in Santorini, Greece. Steven convinced Vanessa that they would be having dinner for her birthday which turned into a proposal on the outside patio looking over the ocean.

While picking a venue, Vanessa & Steve wanted a place that embodied both of their personalities. A Mallard Island Estate wedding was the perfect pick for them! They loved that they could keep the party going all day & night, and stay in the venue estate overnight with their loved ones. V&S chose vendors that they trusted based on their past work, and let them have creative freedom for the day! The color palette of soft ivory, white, lavender, and greens perfectly complemented the buttery cream of the bridesmaids’ dresses. With the groomsmen in black tuxes, the entire bridal party was formal and timeless! From Vanessa, “Steven has a soft spot for orange so we went with a subtle pop of color on his shoelaces to complement his midnight blue tux.” A close friend of V&S officiated the ceremony, making it even more personal to the couple. They knew that they wanted a live band at their reception, and Silver Arrow Band was present as a string trio for the ceremony, single acoustic for cocktail hour, and an 8- piece band for the reception. They played all the right songs to keep guests dancing all night!

From Vanessa, “It’s funny how much time and effort goes into a wedding and in one day it’s all over. I would relive our wedding every day if I could.”

Vanessa’s Advice For Future Brides:

“Because we didn’t use a wedding planner, it was a little difficult to let go of the idea that something would go wrong, but remember: everyone you choose is a professional of their art, trust them.”
