A Romantic, Southern Elegance Destination Wedding At Allandale Mansion

Sarah and Dan’s weddings was truly one of our all-time favorites! When we say this couple is the sweetest, we mean it. These two are so incredibly kind and so in love, it was an absolute honor to work with them! We love photographing destination weddings, so when Sarah reached out, we knew it was meant to be.

Most of the wedding details and colors were based on Sarah’s favorite painting, “Singing Butler” by Jack Vettriano. “It’s just so romantic; these two in formal clothes dancing barefoot on the beach at sunrise, lost in their own world – and that’s what I wanted our wedding to feel like. Almost like we were stepping back in time.” – Sarah

Allandale Mansion is a gorgeous wedding venue in Knoxville, TN. The outdoor ceremony took place on the front yard with the stunning columns as the backdrop. Guests were welcomed into cocktail hour through the front door with the sounds of the grand piano from the parlor room filling the house, with the reception held through the courtyard and under a clear tent open to the fall colors and the stars!

Details of the day included a 1959 Jaguar, mismatched china from around the world, hand written letters during the first look, and a signature drink honoring S&D’s cat, called the Queen Mitzy. It was so cute!

We’re so thankful to have captured this epic destination wedding! Sarah & Dan, thank you so much for having us. Scroll to see all of the magic!

This feedback from Sarah is what makes our job worth it. Cue the happy tears…

“We knew Magdalena Studios was the one the instant we found Magi and her team of creatives! She has an incredible gift of capturing a feeling, and that’s exactly what we want to remember when we look back years from now at the best day of our lives. Magi captures the essence of love – a light, romantic, bold, and blissful love. And yet Magi is even more beautiful on the inside than the art that she creates! To say we were absolutely blown away by her is an understatement, and I can’t imagine not having her and Kelee there to capture our love on the most important day. Magi instantly feels like a friend you’ve known forever, and handles wedding day chaos with such calm and grace that it’s impossible not to feel at ease with her on your team. She and Kelee somehow even managed to edit and send us 20+ pictures before we got to the hotel at the end of the night!!”
