Laurel & Ryan’s Autumn wedding at Renault Winery was truly one for the books! After planning a completely different wedding day for a summer day in June, 2020 had other ideas for how this wedding was going to go. Because of the pandemic, the couple struggled with many restrictions, and their original venue no longer felt right. With a month left until the big day, Laurel & Ryan changed plans and moved their wedding to the beautiful Renault Winery. They decided on a dreamy fall color palette of mocha, mauve, and deep maroon.

“The Renault Winery grounds gave us castle vibes and we went with an edgy romantic theme.” – Laurel

L&R worked quickly to pull together all the last minute details and make sure everything came together in a way that still reflected them as a couple. Florist Betina’s at Parkview did an amazing job bringing a last minute vision to life. This wedding story gets even crazier, as Laurel had to purchase a brand new gown off the rack just days before the wedding! Her original gown was not fitting properly and after spending 6 hours in alterations, it only got worse. So in true 2020 wedding fashion, she went with plan B. In the end, everything ended up being so incredibly romantic.

Guests were greeted by a champagne wall with their name and seat on a gold mirrored sign. The Bars were decorated with the couple’s hashtag. The signature drinks were named after L&R’s fur babies. Each of these unique spots throughout the wedding featured a crafty or unique sign to greet guests.

“A last-minute detail of adding a sparkler send-off was the perfect memorable ending!” – Laurel

Laurel’s advice for future brides:

“To-do lists are key when planning your own wedding day. I loved using the Zola app to keep me on track. I am a big visual person so in addition to any excel sheets and lists, I also kept a working powerpoint of all my ideas and where each decor item I purchased was going. This was helpful in seeing everything come together. I shared this with all of our vendors so they could understand my vision!”

It was such an honor photographing this gorgeous day. Laurel & Ryan, thank you so much for having us. We will always remember this amazing day with you!
