The idea behind this shoot was to portray a modern day Frida Kahlo. Most of the talented vendors who participated in this design have a degree in art history or the fine arts. It was a great collaboration between everyone to dream up what her life might have been like with modern resources and different circumstances. We used bright colors, fans, and lush greens to depict the aesthetic of Mexico and create a vibrant environment.
Bright décor and accessories chosen by Sara Rea Design accentuate this eclectic venue. Fete Urbane brought incredible greens and florals to add gorgeous texture to the space and design. We used table top rentals from Party Rental Ltd. for an interesting table scape. For the brides makeup, Emily created a soft peach halo eye & fluffy lashes paired with a bright red-orange lip. Her eyebrows were enhanced for the bushy natural overgrown brow Frida was so well known for. Ariel Katrina created a gorgeous braided up do which was topped with lush florals from Fete Urbane.
As wedding vendors who love to work with bright-colored floral, stylish couples, and eclectic design, we all teamed up to create this stunning, vibrant wedding day editorial. We hope this serves as inspiration for all of our fun, vibrant and adventurous couples! Enjoy!
