Featured weddings and sessions, resources, travel guides, and my own personal musings.
About a year ago, we moved into a house that Scott’s parents had bought & begun fixing up. We weren’t sure where we’d end up location-wise as we were both finishing up school (Scott just graduated with a degree in school counseling and I am in my last year of law school) and the house is a perfect half way point between Philadelphia, PA and Ocean City, NJ. At the time, we thought it was perfect because it didn’t lock us up in anything too permanent. But we unexpectedly ended up falling love with the home as we’ve built, decorated, and grown in it. And as of today, it’s officially ours! We’re lucky to have Scott’s dad who is the expert at all things remodeling and building. Before moving in, he replaced the roof and did some serious gutting and re-doing of the kitchens and bathrooms. Over the past year of living in the house, we infused a lot of our own ideas and style to make the house our own — lots of side projects and crazy ideas, mainly executed by the guys! (I did a bit of painting myself.) My favorite so far is the custom built breakfast nook 🙂

I also love Scott’s landscaping & garden, our beautiful backyard full of big trees (a giant magnolia and a few apple trees!), and the custom swing chair he built me for my birthday.
Update: We now are renting out the house to wonderful tenant-friends since we’re both working in the Cape May County area & have begun a new home renovation project in Ocean City, NJ. Stay tuned for more updates!
