A Chic Philadelphia Wedding at Cescaphe Water Works

Anne and Tyler’s wedding day was a true celebration of Philadelphia, filled with iconic city backdrops, timeless style, and heartfelt moments from morning to night. Their celebration took us across some of the city’s most beloved landmarks, ending with an unforgettable reception at Cescaphe Water Works.

The day began high above the city at The W Hotel Philadelphia, where Anne got ready in a sky-high suite overlooking the skyline. The deep tones and modern lighting of the room made for stunning, moody portraits as she finished getting ready with her closest friends. On the balcony, the city stretched out behind her, creating the perfect blend of urban and editorial.

From there, we traveled to Merchants’ Exchange Building in Old City for Anne and Tyler’s first look. It’s one of our favorite Philadelphia photo locations, with timeless architecture, cobblestone streets, and romantic light. Their first look was intimate and full of emotion, followed by portraits that captured their connection. The bridal party joined in soon after, with bridesmaids dressed in soft shades of blue satin and groomsmen in classic black suits. Together, they made their way through the city on the Cescaphe trolley, stopping on South Broad Street for the must-have city hall photos: an iconic Philadelphia wedding moment.

After a beautiful and traditional ceremony, we made our way to the reception at Cescaphe Water Works. We wandered along the water and the pavilion for more portraits, taking in the sweeping views of the Schuylkill River and skyline at golden hour. The tented reception space at Water Works was breathtaking. White florals filled every corner with arrangements cascading across tables and suspended from the ceiling over the dance floor. Deep blue linens tied the day’s color palette together, adding depth and richness to the romantic, candlelit scene.

As the night went on, Anne and Tyler danced beneath the hanging florals surrounded by family and friends. The glow of the city lights reflected off the water, wrapping the day up perfectly, a Philadelphia wedding as elegant as it was heartfelt!
