Taylor and Matt’s wedding weekend in Cape May, New Jersey was the perfect blend of coastal elegance, fashion-forward style, and heartfelt moments. From a lively rehearsal dinner to a sun-soaked wedding day, every part of the weekend felt intentional and full of personality.
The celebration kicked off Friday night at the Washington Inn, where Taylor and Matt hosted their rehearsal dinner surrounded by their closest family and friends. We captured portraits of the two of them as they toasted to the weekend ahead. Taylor’s cool-girl style shined, starting with a sleek white dinner dress paired with a sparkling YSL mini bag for her lip gloss and sunnies. As the night went on and more guests joined for drinks and dancing, Taylor made her first outfit change of the weekend, slipping into a sparkly mini dress that was made for the dance floor.
The next morning, Taylor got ready at her family’s home while Matt prepared at Congress Hall. As a Cape May native, both locations were especially meaningful to Taylor and her family, adding a sentimental layer to the day. The ceremony took place in a beautiful chapel on Washington Square, right in the heart of Cape May. It was traditional and intimate, filled with quiet moments and meaningful glances. When the ceremony concluded, Taylor and Matt exited the church to cheers from their loved ones, with ribbons waving and bells ringing as they were announced for the first time as husband and wife.
From there, the newlyweds hopped into a Moke, a small beach buggy that felt perfectly suited for the coastal setting. The car, paired with the charming architecture around Congress Hall, made for such fun, stylish portraits. We stopped briefly at Congress Hall before heading to the beach, where blue skies and white sand created a classic Cape May backdrop. Before making our way to the reception, we stopped at Cape May Point, a beach Taylor grew up visiting. Surrounded by dunes and greenery, the setting felt quiet and personal, giving us some of our favorite portraits of the day.
The celebration continued at Willow Creek Winery, where cocktail hour took place outside on the patio before guests were welcomed into the ballroom for the party. Once the dance floor opened, the energy was nonstop. True to form, Taylor changed into another sparkling party dress, ready to celebrate well into the night. Guests were surprised with treats from Mr. Softee, which was the perfect ending to an unforgettable weekend. Taylor and Matt’s Cape May wedding was stylish, joyful, and full of heart. It was such an honor to capture a weekend that felt so true to who they are.
