A Jersey Shore, Boat Cruise Engagement Session

Ellie and Rob’s Jersey Shore engagement session is a perfect example of how personalization can make your photos truly magical. With a deep connection to both the beach and the bay, Ellie and Rob decided to split their engagement photos into two unforgettable sessions, each showcasing a cherished part of their story. And thanks to a rare window of back-to-back availability during a stunning summer week, we made it happen in style!
The first session began at the iconic fishing pier in Belmar, NJ. As the golden hour light illuminated the sky, Ellie and Rob walked hand in hand toward the water. The pastel blue sky reflected off the calm ocean waves, creating a dreamy backdrop for their photos. Their joy and excitement were infectious, and capturing their sweet connection felt effortless.
We strolled along the water’s edge, where the two danced and laughed together. The rustic charm of the Belmar fishing pier added a classic Jersey Shore touch, and under its weathered beams, Ellie and Rob cozied up to read their custom wedding announcement newspaper. The headline, “LOVE DOWN THE SHORE,” perfectly encapsulated their shared summers and coastal wedding plans.
To wrap up part one of their Jersey Shore engagement session, Ellie and Rob kicked off their shoes and danced in the surf as the sun dipped below the horizon. It was a picture-perfect end to a romantic evening, complete with a quick stop on the boardwalk to capture the nostalgic essence of the shore.
The following day, we joined Ellie and Rob at Rob’s parents’ bay-front home. This session began with a quiet stroll down the dock, where we captured intimate portraits before heading out on the water. Boarding the boat at golden hour felt like stepping into a dream. The gentle waves, the champagne toast, and the stunning views made it an unforgettable experience.
As we cruised around the bay, the scenery reminded us of our time in Lake Como, Italy, with its serene blue waters and lush surroundings. Ellie and Rob snuggled up on the bow of the boat, enjoying the warm summer breeze as the sun set in the distance. Every moment felt like a scene from a movie, and their love shone through in every frame!
Ellie and Rob’s decision to incorporate two locations into their engagement session was a beautiful way to honor the places that mean so much to them. From the rustic charm of the beach to the timeless romance of the bay, their photos are a stunning representation of their love story and shared memories.
