Marisa and Mike’s Atlantic City Country Club wedding felt like it was pulled straight from a dream. Romantic and elegant, thoughtful and unhurried, from the very first frame to the final sparkler. We are also so happy to share that this day was planned by the incredibly talented team at Champagne Magnolias Events, a planner we are always so grateful to work alongside. Getting to collaborate with them regularly is one of our favorite things, and days like this one are exactly why.
Marisa got ready at the venue, and we couldn’t help but shoot countless bridal portraits of her. Because when someone has a smile like Marisa’s, you do not rush past it! She was radiant in every sense of the word, and the light that morning was doing everything right.
The ceremony took place at the church, and without a first look beforehand, we had the privilege of capturing Mike seeing Marisa for the very first time as she came down the aisle. The couple exchanged traditional vows surrounded by the people who love them most, and when they exited the church for the first time as husband and wife, guests filled the air with bubbles.
Back at Atlantic City Country Club, the grounds were waiting for us, and they delivered. The setting is stunning in a way that is hard to fully describe until you are standing in it. Coastal and fresh on the outside, old-school country club elegance on the inside, with lush landscaping and vibrant greenery that photographed beautifully in the afternoon light. As Marisa put it, they love the beauty of the grounds, the coastal feel outside, and the unique old-school golf style design inside. That combination of textures and atmospheres gave us so much to work with for both couple and bridal party portraits.
Cocktail hour took place on the patio and deck as guests started the celebration. Inside, the reception room was set with soft pastel florals, romantic candlelight, and elegant glassware that glowed against the warm tones of the space. The palette was pale and champagne and quietly breathtaking. Clean lines, organic details, the kind of room that feels both timeless and deeply intentional. The party started, and the dance floor filled up quickly.
As the sun began to drop toward the horizon, we snuck away with Marisa and Mike for a few final portraits on the golf course. They brought a custom golf flag printed with their new last name, and it added the most personal, playful touch to what were already stunning images. Wide open sky, golden light, two people completely in love and completely at ease. On the way back in, they paused for a champagne tower, which is exactly the kind of celebratory moment we live for.
The night ended the way the best nights always do: with a sparkler exit. The perfect close to a perfect day. Elegant, dreamy, deeply personal. This is what a summer wedding in South Jersey looks like when every detail is considered and every moment is felt.
