Olivia and Cameron’s wedding at Overbrook Country Club was one of those days that just felt special in every way. Classic, romantic, and deeply personal. In addition to our standard digital photos, we captured a few rolls of film throughout the day. You’ll see the film photos with a white outline throughout this post. We love how film feels so real and genuine, and adds a level of nostalgia to the gallery. If you’re interested in adding film on your wedding day, let us know!
Overbrook has been part of Olivia’s family for as long as she can remember. Her family has belonged to the club since she was a kid, and her parents had their own reception there too. So when it came time to choose a venue, it was not really a question. As Olivia put it, it just felt like home. That kind of meaning adds a layer to a wedding day that no amount of decor can replicate, and we felt it in every moment.
The bridal suite at Overbrook is regal and charming in the best way. It’s the perfect backdrop for getting ready portraits. Soft light, beautiful details, and a space that feels elevated without feeling cold. Olivia and her girls made it feel even warmer. The first look took place on the grounds, surrounded by tall rows of trees, lush and shaded with the sun peeking through the canopy behind them. It was dreamy in the truest sense of the word. The light, the greenery, the quiet of that moment, we could have stayed there all afternoon!
From there, the wedding party headed to the church for the ceremony before returning to Overbrook for portraits. And honestly, the grounds gave us so much to work with. Stunning landscaping, vibrant colors, gorgeous architectural details throughout the buildings. There is a backdrop around every corner at Overbrook, and we took full advantage. The palette of the day, made of soft blues, layered pinks with dashes of orange and yellow, looked absolutely beautiful against all of that lush greenery and classic architecture.
Cocktail hour spilled out onto the patio overlooking the golf course, and the views did not disappoint. Inside, the ballroom was warm and elegant as the party got started and the dance floor opened up. We snuck away with Olivia and Cameron during golden hour for one final round of portraits, and the light was everything we hoped it would be. Soft, warm, golden, and so magical.
